Borgo Santo pietro it’s an hotel and spa nestled in the Tuscan hills near Siena, few kilometers from the ruins of San Galgano.
It sits on the former site of a medieval sanctuary for pilgrims walking to Rome which has been transformed into an acclaimed five-star hotel and spa where the word “Lush” is an understatement.
After more than a decade of perfecting the borgo (a member of Relais & Chateaux), the owners, a couple of danish designers, have creating private gardens, a lake, a spa, the Michelin-starred restaurant, Meo Modo, a cooking school and an organic farm .
There are more than five hectares of greenery, arranged like outdoor rooms, a peaceful lawn area with lavender and tented daybeds, 13 acres of orchards, olive and lemon groves, and formal gardens with sculptural hedges and antique statues.
The 22 guests rooms includes pool villas, and each bedroom is exquisitely and individually designed by the owner Claire.
For weddings or private celebrations it is requested the buyout of the entire property for at least two nights, offering one of the most exclusive yet lavish venues in all Tuscany.
